Foley’s Detroit office has won the 2019 Detroit Bar Association’s Pro Bono Service Award.
The award recognizes the firm’s efforts in support of the Detroit Legal Services Clinic, which provides pro se litigants free legal advice on a variety of issues, as well as its contributions to the Access to Justice Campaign, which provides resources for 16 regional and statewide civil legal aid programs for the poor in Michigan.
Detroit office attorneys who have volunteered at the legal services clinic include Vanessa Miller, Leah Imbrogno, Nick Ellis, Tamar Dolcourt, Ryan Watkins, Felicia O’Connor, Michelle Freeman, Chris Burtley, Mark Makoski, Maria Ruggirello, and Chris Boll.
The office and several of its attorneys have also made contributions to the Access to Justice campaign, designating the Detroit Bar Association as the beneficiary.
The award will be presented at the bar association’s 2019 annual meeting on June 20.
