Okaty Quoted in Orlando Business Journal About Investments in Local Cybersecurity Businesses

Partner Michael Okaty was quoted in the Orlando Business Journal article, “Maitland cybersecurity firm ThreatLocker lands big investment,” about the number of Orlando-area cybersecurity firms attracting investment dollars amid the pandemic.  Okaty has represented several companies that have obtained investment dollars recently, including BlackCloak Inc. and Fortress Information Security LLC

Cyber experts have recognized the rise in remote work creates the need for more robust information protection. Scams have skyrocketed during the pandemic because employers have a tough time monitoring and protecting employees when they’re working remote and scattered across networks and devices. 

That’s one reason the cybersecurity industry is likely to be a “silver lining” of the pandemic, Okaty said.
