Partner Morgan Tilleman was featured in The American Lawyer’s popular “How I Made Partner” series.
In his feature, “How I Made Partner: ‘Build Substantive Expertise That Differentiates You From Others,’” Tilleman told The American Lawyer, “I was deeply fortunate to have landed in the insurance practice at Foley after the tumult of 2007-2011, and I wish I could have seen the factors that made it the right fit for me—specifically, industry focus and low leverage. I think both of those are key for the long-term career success of young lawyers. If you’re a generalist, I think there are huge downward rate pressures that specialists don’t face in the same intensity.”
