Foley & Lardner LLP served as legal advisor to mdf commerce, a leader in SaaS commerce technology solutions, in its definitive agreement to acquire Periscope Intermediate Corp. (“Periscope”), a leading eProcurement solution provider, in a transaction worth approximately $207.25 million.
Through Periscope’s fully integrated end-to-end public eProcurement platform servicing the full spectrum of U.S. state and local government agencies, the acquisition allows mdf commerce to execute on its mission to become a leading player enabling the flow of commerce for the B2B and B2G markets. The program is built specifically for the public sector and enables government agencies to more efficiently purchase goods and services, source contracts, analyze spend, post bids and transact on a public procurement platform that offers a consumer-like shopping experience.
As mdf commerce plans to leverage Periscope’s eProcurement solutions for its existing Canadian and U.S. government agency customers, the transaction allows mdf commerce to become a public eProcurement leader across North America.
