Foley & Lardner LLP served as legal advisor to Digital Guardian, a leader in data loss prevention and managed detection and response, in its acquisition by HelpSystems, a software company focused on information technology.
This acquisition of Digital Guardian will enhance HelpSystems’ data loss prevention system by building on the company’s data security portfolio and combining with security solutions such as GoAnywhere, Clearswift, Agari, and Titus. Digital Guardian will also further improve HelpSystems’ ability to categorize data and protect it across a wide set of applications and operating systems.
Founded in 2003, Digital Guardian is a leading SaaS provider of data loss prevention solutions for large and mid-sized organizations. Digital Guardian’s data protection platform works across corporate networks, traditional endpoints, and cloud applications to stop data loss on Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
