Michael Gay Profiled in “Litigation Leaders” Q&A Series
Foley & Lardner LLP Partner and Chair of the Litigation Department Michael Gay was featured in Am Law Litigation Daily’s “Litigation Leaders” Q&A series, which features litigation practice leaders of the biggest firms in the country. Gay discussed Foley’s outlook and goals for the department in the coming year, as well as successes of late.
In the interview, Gay notes the firm’s “tremendous depth in health care litigation, energy litigation, and manufacturing/supply chain litigation.” He says, “Litigation in these sectors cuts across multiple practice groups and allows us to capitalize on the depth we have in those traditional practice groups.”
When asked what makes Foley’s litigation department different from others, Gay notes that “we spend a significant amount of time getting to truly know our clients so that we understand their objectives and their priorities. This allows us to align the services we provide with the client’s long-term strategic goals.”
In the next year, Gay wants to “leverage our health care experience, our Midwestern history of manufacturing and supply chain litigation, the energy litigation that exploded with our combination with Gardere… and the innovative technology that is becoming an integral part of every client.” He goes on to say that, “Long term, we want everyone to know what we and our clients already know: That Foley has elite trial lawyers, in every region and every practice area, who are second to none.”
