Foley & Lardner LLP recently represented Medway in its Series-A round of $15 million led by Softbank Latin American Fund. Medway is an educational MedTech startup providing courses and support to candidates for medical residency in Brazil.
Medway was founded by three former medical residents who were accepted to some of the top medical residency institutions in Brazil. The country has over 1,000 institutions offering about 6,500 resident programs for doctors coming out of more than 300 schools every year. The trio created this platform to assist candidates for these programs with their exams.
As Medway lands its Series-A investment from powerful investment funds, it will enable the startup to compete in a very crowded market and enter five more states in the country, creating products that will support doctors throughout their careers.
The Foley team was led by Partner Andre Thiollier with assistance from Associate Saige Gallop.
