Christopher Ward Named 2022 ‘Employment Law Trailblazer’ by The National Law Journal
Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Christopher Ward was named to the 2022 “Employment Law Trailblazers” list by The National Law Journal. This recognition honors employment lawyers who have moved the needle in the legal industry and are truly agents of change who have made significant marks on practice, policy, and technological advancements in their areas of legal practice.
Ward was recognized for breaking new ground by humanizing Foley’s approach to employee wellness and spearheading Foley’s Best Self, a firmwide program that focuses on the whole of human experiences as they relate to the workplace, thereby reshaping the environment within which employees express themselves. He approaches his practice the same way, urging clients to look at legal actions through the bigger picture to understand the human element in employment disputes. That method often transforms the working dynamic and leads to solutions that more effectively address everyone’s interests.
When asked about his path to becoming a trailblazer, Ward told The National Law Journal that “my personal and professional struggles, learning from unproductive coping mechanisms, accepting weaknesses as opportunities, and bringing these lessons to my client service philosophy have informed my development as a service provider — this has been the genesis behind my spearheading of Foley’s Best Self and my evolution as an attorney. Foley’s Best Self has empowered our people to see we can deliver exceptional client service while growing as people and building relationships with our clients.”
