Clyde Tinnen Appointed Vice Chair of State of Wisconsin Investment Board
Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Clyde Tinnen has been appointed the Vice Chair of the State of Wisconsin Investment Board by Governor Tony Evers. The Board manages the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) trust funds, and the WRS consistently ranks among the ten largest public pension funds in the U.S.
Tinnen is a business lawyer whose practice concentrates on representing fund sponsors in connection with the formation and operation of private investments funds, securities law reporting and compliance, public corporations in Exchange Act reporting and public and private corporations in negotiating and structuring complex business transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, secured and unsecured finance arrangements, public offerings and private placements; and general corporate counseling.
The SWIB Board of Trustees consists of nine members meeting specific membership requirements under state statutes and is tasked with establishing asset allocation, investment guidelines, and performance benchmarks for the WRS. Tinnen first joined the Board in 2021.
