Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Carrie Hoffman is quoted in the Business Insurance article, “FTC proposed ban on noncompetes may face strong resistance,” discussing the potential roadblocks the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) efforts to prohibit companies from requiring workers to sign noncompete clauses may face.
Hoffman commented that putting aside the question of whether the agency has the authority to issue such a rule, it has “started a dialogue” on the issue of noncompetes.
