Katie Catanese Appointed to American Bankruptcy Institute Board of Directors
Foley & Lardner LLP Partner Katie Catanese was appointed to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) Board of Directors.
Catanese is a litigator and member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Business Reorganization Practice Group in Foley’s New York office. She assists troubled companies facing critical points in their businesses in solving problems related to financial distress and restructuring. Catanese also represents investors and other parties in fraud-based litigation arising in the insolvency space and has significant experience in cross-border fraud matters, bankruptcy appeals, helping companies maximize the value of their assets through both in- and out- of court sales, and assisting creditors find solutions to all aspects of distressed debt.
ABI is the largest multi-disciplinary, nonpartisan organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency. ABI was founded in 1982 to provide Congress and the public with unbiased analysis of bankruptcy issues. The ABI membership includes nearly 10,000 attorneys, accountants, bankers, judges, professors, lenders, turnaround specialists and other bankruptcy professionals, providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information.
