Foley & Lardner LLP represented Interstate Transport, a transportation arrangement provider, in its recent acquisition in a stock transaction by Dupré Logistics, a privately held provider of transportation and logistics services. The company will now be known as Interstate Transport, a Dupré Logistics Company, and will remain a separate business unit within the Dupré Logistics family of brands.
Interstate offers temperature controlled, time-sensitive, dry, and flatbed brokerage services to companies across industries, including food service, produce, horticulture, big box retailers, and emergency management. The acquisition will further diversify Dupré’s service portfolio and increase its density in the food and beverage logistics space.
Interstate is one of the top 150 truckload brokerage firms, and one of the top 10 woman-owned brokerages. Being part of the Dupré Logistics family will allow Interstate to bring additional value to its customers by expanding its transportation solutions portfolio — which will now include onsite logistics, private fleet services, tanker and bulk, and drayage — and expanding its capabilities in power-only, drop trailer, and hazmat services.
The Foley team was led by partner Steven Vazquez and included partners John Palmer and Michael Donohue, and associates Britton Grimes, Andrew Del Real, and Clay Weinstein.
