Foley & Lardner LLP special adviser Bobby Sharma appeared on The Economist’s Money Talks podcast episode “The business of sport,” offering his insight on how the shift to streaming has impacted the sports broadcasting industry.
“Even at the highest levels of sport, given the disruption in media, there’s an existential question that’s been posed to even the most successful of properties as to what happens in a world where the fundamental broadcast economics change,” Sharma explained.|
“Those that will continue to be the most successful are those that are trying to get ahead of the problem rather than react to it,” he added.
