Foley & Lardner LLP is pleased to have been recognized with Habitat for Humanity Texas’ 2023 Corporate Partner of the Year award.
“Our McCoy’s Building Supply Corporate Partner of the Year is presented to a business that makes a real difference in local communities and across Texas,” said Miha Vindis, president of Habitat Texas’ board of directors. “Foley & Lardner showed a significant commitment to Habitat for Humanity Texas this year, particularly partner Steve Gilles’ pro bono representation on a number of matters, earning our highest honor.”
Public affairs director Craig Chick was recognized as 2023 Volunteer of the Year. Chick, who serves on the Habitat Texas board as a vice-president for strategy & alliances, has spearheaded pro bono efforts in partnership with Gilles to guide Habitat Texas through a number of matters, and led passage of two significant pieces of state legislation which will bolster the financial strength of the organization.
“Volunteerism is the lifeblood of our communities and our organization. We thrive because all of our volunteers want to build a better community and a better Texas, but some go above and beyond what’s imaginable,” said Amy Ledbetter Parham, CEO of Habitat Texas. “Craig Chick earned the recognition of Habitat for Humanity Texas Volunteer of the Year because he is the pinnacle of heart, hands, and heads who turn out to build a better Texas.”
