Leighton Allen Recognized by Cook County Bar Association as Next Generation Honoree
Foley & Lardner LLP associate Leighton Allen is named among the Cook County Bar Association’s (CCBA) 2024 Next Generation honorees as one of Chicago’s leading Black lawyers.
The CCBA, the nation’s oldest bar association of Black lawyers and judges, recognized Allen as part of the next generation of powerhouse Black attorneys who have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and service in their profession and community.
Allen, an intellectual property lawyer and member of Foley’s Technology Transactions, Cybersecurity, and Privacy Practice Group, negotiates favorable commercial contracts for organizations in the areas of software as a service licensing, software licensing, IP sales and acquisitions, and data transfer and data processing. He also advises clients on developing proper data handling and processing practices to comply with the latest developments in data privacy laws.
Allen also serves as a member of the Ambassadors Board for Legal Aid Chicago, where he helps support the mission and programmatic work of the organization through raising awareness for civil legal services and obtaining the resources needed to make equal justice a reality for the most vulnerable people in the community.
Honorees will be recognized at an event in Chicago on March 30, 2024.
