“Shout out to a team at Foley & Lardner that secured a win for Southern Technologies LLC and its founder Hui Chan Liao, in a trademark and trade dress lawsuit brought by Blue Bottle Coffee over Southern Technologies’ use of the phrase “Blue Brew” on coffee gear and accessories,” the publication writes. “Senior U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer in San Francisco last week found that the parties’ marks were not similar and that there was no likelihood of confusion, handing summary judgment to the defendants.”
