Elgie Sims Receives Cook County Bar Association's Edward H. Wright Award

Foley & Lardner LLP of counsel and Illinois State Sen. Elgie Sims is a 2024 recipient of the Cook County Bar Association’s (CCBA) Edward H. Wright Award.
The Edward H. Wright Award is presented to a Black lawyer or layperson who has held elective or appointed office, is actively involved in government, and has distinguished themselves through public service.
The CCBA is the nation’s oldest bar association of Black lawyers and judges. For over 125 years, the CCBA has served as advocates for justice in the greater Chicago community, the state of Illinois, and the nation.
Sims was honored at the Cook County Bar Association’s 110th Installation and Awards Banquet on June 28, 2024, in Chicago.
