Foley's PEAK Training Program Highlighted in The American Lawyer for Investment in Ongoing Attorney Development
Foley & Lardner LLP’s PEAK (Partner Excellence Actionable Knowledge) training program is highlighted in The American Lawyer article, “As Partnerships Evolve, Law Firms See Ongoing Partner Training as Recruiting and Retention Tool.”
“At Foley & Lardner, partner Leigh Riley had an ‘aha moment’ at a management committee meeting last fall,” The American Lawyer writes. “That thought led to a new firmwide partner training program that kicked off in September with a session on how to manage people.”
Riley, the program’s partner champion, told The American Lawyer that the idea for a partner level training program had been “percolating in her head” for years, describing how her own transition to partnership required a new set of skills in need of honing.
The American Lawyer highlighted PEAK’s strong turnout for its first training session on people management, its unique blend of live and on demand training, and PEAK’s overall goals of “creating business growth through innovative client engagement and business development practices, creating a collaborative and inclusive leadership culture, and learning how to navigate a modern legal practice that leverages technology.”
