Foley & Lardner LLP partner Mark Radtke is honored by Legal Aid Chicago as a Volunteer of the Year for his contributions to its Bankruptcy Help Desk.
Legal Aid Chicago provides free legal assistance in civil cases to people living in Chicago and suburban Cook County. The Bankruptcy Help Desk assists clients who are filing bankruptcy pro se.
“It is easy for clients to be overwhelmed by the requirements and timelines of the pro se process, so Mark’s ability to provide clarity in those moments is admirable,” Legal Aid Chicago highlighted of his volunteer work.
Radtke, a member of Foley’s Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations Practice, centers his practice on corporate reorganization, creditors’ rights, and bankruptcy matters.
“I felt called to volunteer for the Bankruptcy Help Desk project after hearing bankruptcy judges highlight the valuable support it provides individuals who are unable to afford bankruptcy counsel and are often left to navigate the system on their own,” Radtke said.
