Michael Watkins advises clients on private and public transactions, debt and equity financing, fund formation, and corporate governance matters. Prior to joining Foley, Michael was an associate at an international law firm. In that role, he conducted due diligence for private and public sales, acquisitions, and securities offerings, including the review of employment agreements, credit agreements, commercial contracts, bylaws, charters, and public filings. Before attending law school, Michael served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, and he worked in the Criminal Division of the Department of Justice, where he served as a legal extern for the Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Section. Michael is president of the board of directors for Regina Caeli Academy, a national hybrid homeschooling network, and he serves as a board member for the Michigan Chapter of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums.
