Alexander Chu is a health care regulatory attorney whose practice focuses on helping clients navigate the complex landscape of health care law. Clients emphasize Alex’s exceptional subject matter knowledge and dedication to top-tier client service.

With a solid understanding of health care regulatory frameworks including the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and payor-provider laws, Alex provides strategic counsel to clients on all aspects of regulatory compliance and contracting challenges. He guides clients through developing supply chain contracting processes, including drafting playbooks, best practices, and templates tailored to meet regulatory requirements and business objectives. Alex has extensive experience drafting, negotiating, and revising facility, device manufacturer sales, pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), third-party administrator (TPA), and payor contracts.

Alex practices through the eyes of his clients, drawing on his experience serving as in-house counsel for large health care corporations, where he addressed and managed a wide range of legal issues related to corporate governance, risk management, employment law, ethics, and litigation matters. In his prior roles, Alex served as managing counsel for an integrated delivery network in Virginia and a not-for-profit North Carolina health insurer, and counsel for a strategic investment collaborative between two health insurers.
