Jeffrey N. Costakos is a trial and appellate lawyer with over 30 years’ experience litigating complex patent and intellectual property cases before courts throughout the United States. Jeff is chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice and a member of the Patent Office Trials Group. He is also a member of the Life Sciences, Medical Device, and Automotive Industry Teams.
Jeff has been lead counsel in dozens of patent litigations spanning technologies as diverse as DNA sequencing and micro-arrays, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, encryption, automotive components, computer algorithms, construction technology, sails and sail making, agricultural genetics, printing, plumbing technology, and oil and gas exploration and blending. He has argued numerous appeals before the Courts of Appeals for the Federal and Seventh Circuits.
