Josh Ehrenfeld is a solution-driven business lawyer who offers clients decades of experience handling global mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint venture transactions, corporate governance, finance, and regulatory matters. Drawing on his unique business, tax, and corporate background, Josh brings experience and perspective across a wide variety of industries to help stakeholders structure and execute transactions ranging from $5 million to over a billion.
Josh’s extensive experience includes representing borrowers and lenders in various domestic and cross-border financial transactions, as well as facilitating business transactions involving foreign direct investment into the United States and U.S. investment overseas. In addition, he frequently guides businesses and individuals on global personnel and employment matters, including the taxation of U.S. expatriates and foreign employees in the United States. Josh also offers an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies and advises businesses on a variety of matters relating to the use, incorporation, and impact of blockchain technology, as well as the issuance and use of cryptocurrencies.
Prior to joining Foley, Josh was a partner in the Nashville, Tennessee, and Jacksonville, Florida offices of a major regional law firm. He previously worked in the New York and London offices of a multinational law firm and served as general counsel for a New Mexico energy company.
