Blaine Fix is an associate with Foley & Lardner, LLP. Blaine is based in the firm’s Milwaukee office where he is a member of the firm’s Finance Team. His practice focuses on general finance, private equity, and refinancings, as well as energy.
During his third year of law school, Blaine externed for the Eastern District of Wisconsin United States Attorney’s Office in Milwaukee where he drafted memos and briefs and appeared in hearings. In his second year, he was a summer associate with Foley & Lardner, LLP, where he worked with Foley’s Transactional and Finance groups. After his first year, he interned for Judge David Hurd of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York where he researched case law and drafted bench memos.
Throughout law school, Blaine created online legal definitions for Cornell’s Legal Information Institute. He also organized events introducing law students to transactional law as the Co-President of Cornell’s Business Law Society.
