Jarren Ginsburg is the “go-to” lawyer for multinational financial services firms, accounting firms, large product manufacturers, and large health care service providers in investigations and inquiries brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, State Attorney General Offices, and the Department of Justice, amongst various other government agencies and regulators.
Prior to joining Foley, Jarren was an arbitration intern for the Washington Capitals and a law clerk for the Office of the Attorney General with the Maryland State Lottery.
Representative Experience
- Litigated a breach of contract matter to a favorable settlement—with attorneys’ fees—following a successful summary judgment motion in federal district court.
- Successfully dismissed false and/or misleading labeling claims against a pharmaceutical manufacturer in multiple federal district court cases.
- Secured a $23 million victory against Sprint in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on behalf of 19 telecom carriers owned by CenturyLink that provide local telephone service in 18 states.
Fifth Circuit Rules SEC Exceeded Its Authority in Adopting Private Fund Advisers Rule
On June 5, 2024, a three-judge panel in the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the Securities and Exchange Commission exceeded its statutory authority in adopting the so-called “Private Fund Advisers Rule” and, accordingly, vacated the Rule in full.
