Julia Gundlach brings multidisciplinary experience in biomedical and electrical skills to her role as a patent engineer in Foley’s Electronics Practice, providing crucial support to clients throughout the patent application process.

While earning her bachelor’s degree, Julia developed her skillset through various projects and research. In her last semester, her capstone project consisted of designing and building a device to prevent pressure injuries by using a grid of sensors to detect pressure changes when a person is lying in a bed.

Before her last year at George Washington, she participated in Foley’s summer patent engineer program. Julia also brings technical skills in Java, AUTODESK, MATLAB, and SOLIDWORKS.
