Andrew W. Kurzon is co-chair of the firm’s Fund Formation & Investment Management Practice. He leads a dedicated team of lawyers who advise clients on all aspects of the structuring, formation, and ongoing management of private investment funds and their respective management companies, as well as a broad cross-section of institutional investors actively investing into private investment funds.
Andrew’s practice focuses on all stages and types of private investment fund formations, including venture capital, growth equity, buyout, fund-of-funds, private credit, secondary, and non-traditional funds (e.g., feeder and access funds). He is also experienced in handling various types of private investment fund related transactions, such as co-investments, secondaries, continuation funds and GP restructurings. In addition, Andrew often advises clients on structuring and drafting various management company agreements and general partner agreements, as well as advising clients on internal general partner and management company matters. He also provides counsel on general corporate, regulatory, securities law, and fund maintenance matters.
Andrew also represents institutional sources of capital (i.e., LPs) in connection with their investments into all types of private investment funds.
