J. Craig Long, a partner and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP since 1993, represents securities broker-dealers, securities exchanges and electronic communications networks (ECNs), and other financial institutions in all facets of securities regulatory and compliance matters. Craig is a member of the firm’s Securities, Commodities & Exchange Regulation and Transactional & Securities Practices.
Prior to joining Foley, He served as vice president, general counsel, and secretary of the Chicago (then Midwest) Stock Exchange for many years and was responsible for overseeing the legal and regulatory affairs of the Exchange and its subsidiary clearing houses. He also served a short tenure with the Chicago office of the Securities and Exchange Commission prior to joining the Exchange.
