Maame Yaa B. Norman
Law Graduate
Maame Yaa Bosuo Norman, Ph.D., P.E. works in Foley’s Intellectual Property practice area and is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group.
Maame Yaa brings a robust background in intellectual property law. She started at Foley as a summer associate working closely with attorneys on patent litigation matters and collaborating on an education policy project. During law school, she worked as a research assistant focusing on various topics in intellectual property, including design patent inventorship. She was also a summer associate at a law firm where her worked focused primarily on patent prosecution matters.
Additionally, Maame Yaa brings years of extensive experience as a chemical engineer, lead scientist, and a product developer in the pharmaceutical, oil, paper, and chemical industries. Her experience includes leading product development operations and process engineering work for product renovation. Maame Yaa worked closely with the legal department to obtain a design patent while successfully defending rebuttals against a competitor brand. In addition, she worked as an adjunct professor at local technical colleges. She is also a licensed Professional Engineer for the State of Wisconsin. Maame Yaa leverages her experience in both law and engineering to provide comprehensive legal services to her clients.
