Nicholas Paquette’s practice is concentrated in the fields of corporate and regulatory law with a particular emphasis on extended warranty and service contract programs, insurance agent and agency licensing, insurance and health care privacy, reinsurance transactions, and captive insurance matters. He is a partner in the firm’s Insurance & Reinsurance Industry Team.
Nicholas represents insurance and other industry players in a variety of transaction and corporate restructurings, and counsels such entities with respect to their regulatory affairs and filings related to such transactions including their dealings with state insurance departments and other state and federal regulatory agencies. He also counsels service contract providers, insurers, pharmacy benefit managers, and health care entities with respect to state and federal regulatory issues impacting their business generally.
Prior to beginning his legal career, Nicholas was a finance and insurance executive with an international insurance company, focusing primarily on automobile extended service contract and captive insurance matters.
