Associate

Jared Pliner is an associate in the litigation department of Foley & Lardner LLP. Jared is based in the firm’s Boston office, where he is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice.

Jared began at Foley as a summer associate working on contract, employment, insurance, tort, and pro bono asylum matters. In law school, he served as a judicial intern to Chief Judge John J. McConnell, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island and Justice David A. Lowy of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. As a participant in Boston University School of Law’s civil litigation clinic, Jared represented clients in wage, age discrimination, and unemployment benefits matters before the Boston Municipal Court, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and the Massachusetts Department of Unemployment Assistance.

Prior to law school, Jared was a journalist for nearly a decade and a paralegal specializing in complex immigration petitions on behalf of scientists and engineers.
