Kevin A. Reck is a partner and business litigation attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP and currently serves as chair of the firm’s Orlando Litigation Department. He represents a large number of banks, financial institutions, federally chartered institutions, secured lenders, special servicers, unsecured creditors, creditor’s committees, and commercial landlords. Kevin’s practice includes commercial real estate loan workouts, chapter 11 proceedings, including chapter 11 plan litigation, single asset real estate cases, bankruptcy sales, and valuation hearings, as well as adversary proceedings. Kevin has experience in both state and federal court litigating fraudulent transfer and preference actions and has represented both individuals and corporate clients in derivative actions and in securities litigation (including the defense of class actions). He is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Business Reorganizations, Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution, and Construction Practices.
In addition, Kevin practices in all facets of commercial litigation, including, real estate, restrictive covenant and contract disputes as well as representing medical providers and hospitals in disputes with carriers and patients regarding medical necessity and reasonableness of charges. Additionally, Kevin represents both contractors and owners in all facets of construction litigation, including contract preparation, construction lien claim litigation and defect and delay claims.
Prior to joining Foley, Kevin gained professional experience working as a Florida Supreme Court-certified legal intern for the Eighth Judicial Circuit public defender.
