Gustavo (Gus) Resendiz represents clients in the formation and representation of domestic and international private investment funds, namely private equity, growth equity, venture capital, and funds of funds. He counsels private fund sponsors on all aspects of the fund formation process, including structure, key terms, marketing, and negotiations with investors. Gus also represents buyers and sellers of private fund interests on a secondary basis and institutional investors in connection with their investments into various types of private investment funds, such as anchor and co-investment arrangements.
Gus understands the legal and business issues important to clients, including compliance and regulatory issues, global risk management, business development, and investor relations matters, as well as a wide array of operational and administrative practices. Between private practice at major firms, Gus served for over a decade as a general counsel and chief compliance officer to SEC-registered investment advisers. He is a member of the firm’s Fund Formation & Investment Management Practice.
