Alicia Schweitzer

Alicia Schweitzer is a public affairs director with Foley & Lardner LLP. With over 15 years of experience, she has worked on every aspect of state government; from policy and budget writing to rule making and procurement. In her current role, she guides her clients through the law-making process while providing advice, connections, and years of experience.
Prior to joining Foley, Alicia served as a Policy Advisor for the Wisconsin State Assembly Speaker. In this role she advised the Speaker as well as members of the State Assembly on policy initiatives, the Wisconsin State Budget, administrative rules, and the legislative process. She also advised on and drafted media responses and communications, constituent outreach, policy documents and whitepapers. Alicia has also successfully managed winning campaigns for two members of the current Wisconsin State Assembly.
In between her time at the capitol, Alicia also served as a government affairs and communications associate for a Wisconsin lobbying and public affairs firm focused on political and public policy. In this role, she served as lead lobbyist identifying relevant policy and working to develop and implement strategies and tactics to achieve effective outcomes for clients. She also managed political media and internal communications for her clients.
During her time at Foley, she has successfully secured contracts upwards of $100 million, built vital organizations into the state budget and has had bills signed into law in almost every policy area, including education, consumer products and protection, workforce development, health care, electric charging, and technologies, as well as many others. Recently, she was awarded Lobbyist of the Year by the Boys and Girls Club.
