Luke Shadley is an associate and litigation attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP, based in the Chicago office, where he is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and the Government Enforcement Defense & Investigations Practice Groups. His practice includes defending clients facing a broad range of criminal charges, government investigations, and regulatory enforcement actions. Luke also has experience in a variety of commercial litigation disputes in federal and state courts.

Luke works with clients to navigate government investigations, conduct large-scale internal investigations, and litigate disputes. He collaborates closely with clients and the government to respond to any governmental inquiries and has successfully defended clients in False Claims Act and Anti-Kickback Statute matters. He also maintains an active pro bono practice, representing both indigent and incarcerated clients.

During law school, Luke was a summer associate at Foley, a law clerk for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, and a judicial extern for the Honorable John Robert Blakey in the Northern District of Illinois. He also worked as a student attorney in the Center on Wrongful Convictions at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he helped identify and rectify wrongful convictions.
